Frequently asked questions
Plain answers about what Unutma is, how the offline model works, and — just as importantly — what it deliberately does not do.
Does Unutma work without an internet connection?
Yes. Unutma works offline, including in airplane mode: the vault, reminders, lists, journal and the assistant all run on the device, and none of our servers are involved. The one exception is the microphone — dictation is handled by your phone's own speech service, which may need a connection unless your phone has that language available for offline recognition. Typing works offline either way.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login anywhere in the app. You open it and start using it. Because there is no account, there is also no password to be leaked and no profile to be sold.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your device. Unutma has no cloud sync and no server holding user content, and Android's Google auto-backup is switched off for the app so nothing travels to a new phone on its own. The vault and the journal are encrypted at rest with AES-256, with the key held in the device keychain or keystore and unlocked with Face ID, Touch ID or the equivalent Android biometric.
Does Unutma sync between my phone and my tablet?
No, and this is the honest trade-off of the offline design. There is no automatic cross-device sync. You can move your data manually using the export and device-transfer feature, but if you need continuous multi-device sync, Unutma is not the right choice.
What does Unutma actually replace?
A reminders app, a to-do list, a journal or diary, a calendar, a notes app, a shopping list, a habit or routine tracker, an expense tracker and a password vault. The point is one habit to maintain instead of nine.
How does the voice command work?
You say a normal sentence such as "dentist tomorrow at 3, remind me" and the app works out which list it belongs to and what time to set. That understanding step is rule-based rather than cloud AI, so it happens on the device. Turning speech into text is done by your phone's own dictation service (Apple on iOS, Google on Android) — on-device when your phone supports that language offline, otherwise through the provider — and nothing is sent to us. It works in all six supported languages.
How much does Unutma cost?
Every feature is open for a 7-day free trial. After that you can stay on the free plan with limits, or choose a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. The current price for your country is shown in the App Store and Google Play before you pay. There are no ads at any tier.
Which languages does Unutma support?
English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, and Italian — including the voice command feature.
Is Unutma only for people with ADHD?
No. People with ADHD are one audience because low-friction capture matters to them, but the app is built for anyone trying to keep a system running — people juggling work and home, people who keep abandoning planners, and people who care about privacy.
Can I share a list with someone else?
Not in real time. Unutma is single-user by design because there is no server to coordinate shared state. You can export and send a list, but collaborative or shared lists are not supported.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If you have not made a manual backup, the data is gone — there is no cloud copy to restore from. This is the direct cost of the no-server design. Backup and restore are built in and take a few taps; doing it periodically is strongly recommended. Note that the main backup deliberately leaves the vault out: the vault has its own encrypted backup button on the Vault screen, so back that up separately.
Does Unutma show ads or track me?
No ads and no third-party tracking of your content. Anonymous usage analytics are optional and off unless you switch them on yourself in Settings under Data.
